The important dates for them are:
- July 7: a check-in/work session of fairies on
- July 12: Costume parade--this is a chance for me and the costume mistress and tech director to see what everyone looks like together. Changes/additions may be asked for by me or them. The actors would have one week to make those changes.
- July 19: First dress rehearsal. Last minute changes may still occur this late in the process.
General Notes:
All Men:
- Setting: 1878, South Dakota
- Boots are a must.
- Suits should be cotton, wool or look like they’re that.
- 3-button suits are best. 2-button suits should be re-buttoned to look like three button suit
- Lapels were short and notched, but could be any width
- Vests were double-breasted, or “gambler’s” style
All Women:
- Setting: 1878, South Dakota
- Boots are a must.
- Dress should reflect your socio-economic position. Patterns are fine, gingham is not.
- Hats are appropriate for outside scenes
- Gloves are OK, but may be too hot.
The actual plot:
Falstaff
1. Union Army Officer Coat (open) and pants, sash and epaulets, hat with plumage, dirty undershirt
